The East Flatbush Community

In the heart of East Flatbush, mere blocks from the Rebbe’s shchuna, a young and vibrant Lubavitch community is thriving. It is a warm, close-knit, and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome and proud to belong; it’s a brotherhood and sisterhood that is always coming up with new ways to connect and celebrate.

Adding in Torah Learning

There is nothing like having a set time and place to come and learn Torah. This is why we decided it was time to open a Kolel, where the members of our community can come at the end of a busy day to study Torah.

The structure of the Kolel

The Kolel runs every Sunday through Wednesday, with each day dedicated to a different topic to cover a wide range of Torah subjects. We have a day for learning Chassidus, a day for Gemara, a day for Halacha, and a day for studying the weekly Parsha. The learning format includes a mix of Chavrusa learning, Shiurim, and study groups. Those who have their own learning they wish to pursue are also welcome. All of this is with the goal of enhancing our Torah study!

With your support

At the end of each month, the Kolel distributes stipends to those who participate, offering a small incentive for joining after a long, hard day. Please consider sponsoring a month, week, or even just a day of this special learning for the Yungerleit. A sign will be displayed in the Kolel with your dedication, and your name will be announced. All the learning will be in your merit. Thank you in advance, and may you be blessed with abundant blessings!
